Director of Field Education

職務說明Job Description:

Logos Evangelical Seminary invites application for a full-time position in Student Development Department (SDD), with a primary focus on Field Education Ministry. Logos is an ATS accredited Mandarin speaking seminary in El Monte, California. We are seeking to fill a full-time position of Director of Field Education, beginning on January 1, 2025.

職責Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and coordinate student field education program, summer mission program, summer internship program for all students.
  2. Assist students in placing field education sites, help F-1 students to find placing sites.  Assist all students with field education sites for their choice.
  3. Always available to direct and counsel students on field education issues.
  4. Develop cooperative plans (online internship…) between seminary and field education sites to place and instruct students in field education.
  5. Provide and teach Field Education FEC501 & FES502 courses, 14 weeks per semester and 50 minutes per week.
  6. Assist individuals to develop ministry plans based on appraisals of God’s calling, personality characteristics.
  7. Teach Field Education Guided Study courses FES531 & FES532 and assess homework.
  8. Conduct church observation 5 times per semester.
  9. Counsel students for internship and provide referral to graduate service.
  10.  Promote Online Internship and prepare monthly ministry reports.
  11. Prepare documents for the Field Education program for WSCUC/USCIS accreditation.
  12. Potential career plan and placement advice.
  13. May assist student care and lead the caring group and assist in departmental works if requires.

資格Qualifications:

  • Education: D.Min required
  • Experience: At least 5 years of pastoral experience in North America
  • Skill: Connecting with churches and pastor; Counseling students in ministry and computer skill.    Experience in work with committee to review program effectiveness, performance and career planning.
  • Knowledge: Church operation of various sizes
