33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
Subject: COVID-19 Contingency Plan As Of March 13th, 2020
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 disease, PC concurred to implement the following precautionary and preventive measures to help contain the situation until further notice of updates:
★★★ All classes and student-related activities will go online starting from 3/16(Monday) and continue until further notice. Staff will continue to work on campus until further notice.
Travel:
- All Logos faculty, staff and students should not travel to any country with a CDC Level 3 (Avoid Non-essential Travel: Mainland China, South Korea, Iran and most European countries as of 3/13/2020) or Level 4 (Do Not Travel) due to the outbreak of COVID-19. All mission trips to these countries are cancelled. Those F-1students who come from or through these countries may be prohibited from re-entering US. The list of affected countries and the warning level changes daily. Please monitor the developments through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.
- All Logos faculty, staff and students returning to the United States from any Level 2 country (most countries) other than those listed by CDC as Level 3 will need to self-quarantine themselves for 14 days off campus as per requirement from CDC. All faculty and staff are encouraged to cut down interstate travel by air and no Logos-related overseas travel during this period of time.
- Logos is following the CDC’s recommendations regarding prevention, treatment and travel guidelines. For updates, visit the CDC’s COVID-19 webpage – http://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/novel-coronavirus-2019.html. Please check our website periodically for new updates and guidelines.
Students Residing in Our Dormitories:
- Students residing in our dormitories should notify and get permission from our Student Development Dept. in advance if they plan to travel to their home countries during the summer. They should also notify the Dormitory Manager at the same time and sign an agreement for self-quarantine.
- To prevent COVID-19 in communities, those who come from or pass by Level 2 and 3 countries will have to stay away from the dormitory on their own accord for two weeks. If all is well, the students can move into their dorms, but still have to self-quarantine for another 2 more weeks (total of 4 weeks).
- Students should notify in advance and get permission from our Dormitory Manager if they plan to have local and overseas visitors (parents, relatives or friends) residing in our dormitories. For safety reasons, all visitors should comply with the above Item # 2 guidelines.
- Students and their family members should inform the Dormitory Manager and see a doctor immediately if they have respiratory symptoms (coughing, sneezing, shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing) and/or a temperature above 100.4F. They should self-isolate themselves and avoid contact with other dormitory residents.
*There will be more details pertaining to the dormitory guidelines for the residents.
Preventive Measures:

Watch and Pray
- Pray that the Holy Spirit will help each one of us discern the implication of Covid-19 in this day and age.
- Pray that, by God’s grace and mercy, this cup of COVID-19 pandemic will pass from us soon and we may witness once again that He does make all things work together for good for those who love Him.
- Pray for those doctors, nurses, decision-makers and supporting teams who are working on the frontlines, that God grants them sufficient grace, protection, strength and peace.
- Pray that, in moment like this, our tested faith can be a powerful witness to our communities, our yet-to-believe friends and relatives.
