EACO is a church within the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) denomination with approximately 380 people in weekly attendance. Located in Bells Corners, in Western Ottawa, Ontario, our church serves Cantonese, Mandarin, and English-speaking congregations.
Our vision is to be a vibrant Christian community in Ottawa, committed to transforming people of diverse cultural backgrounds into devoted followers of Christ. Our mission includes worship, discipleship, community service, unity, and evangelism.
The EACO Youth Ministry serves Junior High (Grades 7-8) and Senior High (Grades 9-12) students. Our goals focus on spiritual formation, discipleship, community building, intergenerational engagement, and outreach.
Youth Pastor

Responsibilities:
1. Spiritual Leadership:
● Develop a vision for the Youth Ministry and serve as a spiritual role model.
● Provide pastoral counseling and mentorship to youth.
● Equip and empower a team of adult volunteers to support the youth ministry.
2. Teaching & Discipleship:
● Teach the Scripture and develop relevant youth program curricula.
● Lead weekly youth gatherings, Sunday School and Bible Quizzing.
● Encourage practical application of biblical truths.
3. Evangelism & Outreach:
● Plan and lead outreach events.
● Equip youth for personal evangelism.
4. Administration & Leadership Development:
● Plan events, manage budgets, and train student leaders.
● Foster strong communication with parents and integrate youth into the larger church community.
5. Safety & Collaboration:
● Ensure compliance with safety policies and work closely with church leadership.
Requirements:
● Must agree with the C&MA Core Values and Statement of Faith (https://thealliancecanada.ca/beliefs/)
● Must engage in the congregational life of the church.
Qualifications:
1. Christian Character: A strong relationship with Christ, committed to living out biblical principles.
2. Experience in Youth Ministry: A passion for guiding youth toward spiritual maturity and a deep love for youth ministry.
3. Theological Training: A degree from a recognized seminary or Bible college or academic equivalent is preferred.
4. Biblical Knowledge: Ability to communicate biblical truth in an engaging and relatable way, with a solid understanding of Scripture.
5. Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Strong servant leadership, relational, and organizational skills, with the ability to mentor youth leaders and volunteers.
