ENGLISH YOUTH MINISTER

Hacienda Heights, CA

Full-time

1. Working with English Ministry pastor, elders, and student interns to plan and execute the youth Friday night small group meetings and Sunday services.
2. Organize student activities on weekends and holidays including local and overseas mission trips.
3. Train youth leaders to serve and grow spiritually.
4. Attend weekly English Ministry meetings.
5. Lead and organize short-term mission for the youth.
6. Help connect our church to the local community of churches and Christian organizations.
7. Build bridges with local Christian Schools at:
a. Morning Star Christian School
b. Heights Christian Schools
c. Rowland heights Christian School
d. Southlands Christian School
e. Whittier Christian Schools (Highschool and Elementary/Jr. High)
8. Connect with Christian clubs at:
a. Los Altos High School
b. Glen A. Wilson High School
c. Valley High School
d. Rowland High School
e. La Puente High School
9. Identify areas in need of change, with oneself and with others.

1. Master Degree of Divinity or Christian Study, or currently enrolled in an accredited seminary or divinity school taught in English
2. Minimum of 2 years ministry experiences in youth, EM or Education ministry
3. English as a primary language – fluent in both writing and speaking
4. Strong organizational and leadership skills
5. Desire to raise disciples and build leaders within the community
6. Effective interpersonal and communication skills
7. Understanding of Chinese-American culture/customs
8. U.S. Citizenship or valid legal status
