要追索夏威夷華人浸信會的歷史﹐就必須返回1976年前一間名叫怒安奴浸信會的禮拜堂。當時這個教會只有英文部和日文部。但當中有一撮中國人和一班有心向中國人傳福音的美國人﹐就商議怎樣向只有幾分鐘車程就到達的中國城傳福音。他們就向教會提出成立中文事工。終於在1976年的一個晚上﹐怒安奴浸信會通過要成立中文部。之後物識到當時香港以馬內利浸信會牧師黃道生牧師來開設中文事工。
經過27年在怒安奴浸信會﹐中文部決定獨立。2004年1月1號﹐在母會的祝福下﹐中文部成為一個獨立的教會﹐怒安奴華人浸信會。獨立後， 蒙神的賜福， 教會的人數逐漸增多， 聚會的地方急需要擴充， 我們開始物色自己的會址。感謝天父的帶領及供應， 於2009年4月終於購得近於華埠之477， 499 N. King Street 的物業作為新堂址。在得到新堂後， 因為教會地點遷離了怒安奴街，弟兄姊妹選出“夏威夷華人浸信會”為教會的新名字。
教會不斷發展不同事工，希望使更多的人認識神對我們的厚愛及接受神的愛。

We started as the Chinese Division of Nuuanu Baptist Church in Honolulu, Hawaii.
1976 - Located minutes away from Chinatown, Nuuanu Baptist Church envisioned sharing the gospel with the Chinese community.
1977 - Pastor James Wong from Hong Kong led the Chinese Division. This was the beginning of a fruitful ministry to the Cantonese-speaking community in Honolulu, HI.
2004 - After 27 years, the Chinese Division of Nuuanu Baptist Church has grown and matured. It became constitutionally and financially independent, and was officially registered as “Nuuanu Chinese Baptist Church (NCBC).”
2009 - NCBC continued to grow in number. It outgrew the facility at 2010 Nuuanu Avenues. We realized that it was time to move on and expand. God granted NCBC with a prime location - right at the gateway of Chinatown.
Since we have acquired a property away from Nuuanu Avenue, our church members voted to change our church name to “Hawaii Chinese Baptist Church.”
The church continues to develop different ministries, hoping to make more people know and accept God's love.

牧師要裝備和培養成員成為耶穌基督的門徒。 這一事工的目的是向非信徒傳福音，將所有信徒聯繫起來，使他們在靈性上成長，彼此服侍，變得更像基督。

工作是在主任牧師的監督下進行，主任牧師定廣泛的目標、優先事項和完成日期。

主要職責是傳講神的道和帶領禱告事工。 其他職責包括但不限於在敬拜、團契、門徒訓練、事工、外展計劃和宣教機會方面發揮主導作用。

招募和培訓領袖成為上帝的僕人。

監督不同年齡段的事工，如兒童、初中、高中、大學、成人和老年人。

協助教牧職責，如教導、探訪、諮詢、行政和其他分配的職責，以幫助教會邁向“社區型”教會。

協助主任牧師監督教會的日常運作。

協助主任牧師與浸信會聯會、其他基督教組織和教會進行協調與合作。

The Pastor/Minister is to equip and grow members to be disciples of Jesus Christ. This ministry is to evangelize non-believers, connect all believers to grow spiritually and serve one another to be more like Christ.

Work is performed under the general supervision of the Senior Pastor, who defines broad goals and objectives, priorities and deadlines.

Primary duties are preaching the Word and leading the prayer ministry. Other duties include, but not limited to leading roles for worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, outreach program and mission opportunities.

Enlist and train leaders to become diligent servants of God.

Oversee ministries for different age appropriate groups such as children, junior high, high school, college, adult, and seniors.

Assist in pastoral duties such as teaching , visitation, counseling, administration, and other duties as assigned to aid the church moving towards a “community- based” church.

Assist Senior Pastor to oversee day-to-day operation of the church.

Assist Senior Pastor in coordination and cooperation with Baptist conventions and associations, other Christian organizations, and churches.

應徵者須能用流利粵語講道，英語溝通，如操流利國語更佳，有三年牧養北美華人教會經驗，具有福音派信仰, 並具備ATS認可福音派神學院道學碩士學位。

The applicant should speak fluent Cantonese, communicate in English, fluent Mandarin is a plus. Must have three years of pastoral experience in Chinese church in North America, have evangelical faith background, and received at least a Master of Divinity degree from an ATS-accredited evangelical seminary.
