Charlotte Chinese Baptist Church (CCBC) is seeking a full-time Chinese Ministry Pastor to shepherd and develop our Mandarin-speaking congregation in Charlotte, North Carolina. CCBC is a Southern Baptist church with Chinese and English ministries and a desire to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and serve our community.
Responsibilities:
• Shepherd the Chinese congregation and work collaboratively with the English pastor, deacons, and ministry leaders.
• Preach and teach regularly in Mandarin; lead worship services, Sunday school, small groups, prayer meetings, and discipleship.
• Administer baptism and communion, provide pastoral visitation and care, and offer premarital, marriage, and family counseling as appropriate.
• Equip leaders, encourage evangelism and missions, and help develop the next generation of ministry leaders.
• Participate faithfully in the overall life and mission of CCBC.
Qualifications:
• A born-again Christian with a life and ministry consistent with the biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:6–9.
• Agreement with CCBC’s statement of faith and constitution, and a commitment to the authority of Scripture and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Able to preach and teach clearly in Mandarin and communicate effectively in English.
• Evangelical seminary training is preferred, with an M.Div. or equivalent theological preparation strongly preferred.
• At least three years of pastoral or ministry experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated gifts in shepherding, teaching, discipleship, evangelism, and teamwork.
Compensation and benefits will be determined based on education and ministry experience.
