Three Strategies
Three Core Strategies
From equipping churches and nurturing parents to fostering faith across generations, the Christian Family Resource Center seeks to address the real challenges of faith, culture, and intergenerational discipleship among Chinese families in North America.
01
Family Ministry Training
Family Ministry Training
The Center provides customized family ministry training for Chinese immigrant churches. An experienced trainer (the “program leader”) works closely with congregational leaders to develop a tailored plan for establishing or strengthening family ministry in each participating church.
02
In-Person and Online Parenting Seminars
Parenting Seminars
The Center offers a series of Christian parenting seminars that equip parents to apply biblical principles and Christian values in family life and child-rearing.
03
Intergenerational Family Retreats
Cross-Generational Retreats
The Center studies the challenges Asian immigrant families face in passing on their faith. Chinese parents born overseas and Chinese American families often encounter cultural and language differences when sharing Christian beliefs and values. Through interactive workshops, reading groups, and family retreats, the Center encourages two-way conversations between parents and children about faith and life, including sexuality education, conflict resolution, peer pressure, and relationships.
