Field Education
LOGOS Field Education
Through Field Education, LOGOS Evangelical Seminary connects theological formation with the life of churches and ministry organizations. Students translate classroom learning into faithful ministry practice, while churches and organizations are connected with well-prepared ministry interns.
From Classroom to Ministry Field
Field Education is not an add-on to the curriculum; it is an essential extension of theological formation. In real church and ministry settings, students integrate learning, calling, and lived experience to build a strong foundation for future ministry.
Forming Servants of God’s Kingdom Between Classroom and Ministry
Field Education extends theological study into faithful practice. In authentic church and ministry settings, students translate biblical knowledge, theological insight, and pastoral wisdom into effective ministry.
The goal is more than gaining experience. It is the integration of knowledge and life, academic study and spiritual formation, personal calling and the mission of the church—cultivating a mature pastoral heart before entering full-time ministry.
Discerning Calling and Building a Foundation for Ministry
Through hands-on ministry, students gain clarity about their calling, gifts, and limitations while translating classroom learning into practical skills for pastoral care, missions, teaching, and congregational ministry.
A Coherent Practicum Pathway for Every Degree Program
Field Education serves several master’s and doctoral programs, with practicum courses designed around the formation goals of each degree.
Three Relationships for Growth
Ministry formation comes not only through books, but also through accompaniment and faithful example. Each intern matures through on-site supervision, seminary guidance, and peer reflection.
