Purpose

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Master of Divinity program, students will be able to:

Admission Requirements

1. Graduation from an accredited four-year college, university, or seminary with a bachelor’s degree or higher and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.67 (B− or 80%).
2. Applicants must have experienced regeneration and salvation, have been baptized for at least three years, and have a clear calling and commitment to lifelong full-time service to God.
3. Applicants must demonstrate exemplary character and spiritual maturity and provide recommendations from two pastors or church leaders. (Applicants residing in mainland China must have at least one overseas recommender and one church pastor as recommenders.)
4. For married applicants, the spouse must also be a Christian and support the applicant’s calling from God to ministry and pursuit of theological training.
5. Ability to understand spoken Mandarin Chinese.
6. Proof of English reading proficiency: a TOEFL score of 470/52 (TOEFL iBT) or higher, an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, or a Duolingo English Test score of 80 or higher. (English test scores are valid for only two years; expired scores require retesting.) (Applicants who earned a bachelor’s degree or higher at an institution where instruction was entirely in English, or who have resided in North America for more than 20 years, may be exempt.) Other equivalent evidence of English proficiency will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Three-Year Curriculum Plan

Transfer Students

1. Graduate students transferring from this seminary or from a seminary accredited by ATS or ATA with a GPA of 3.00 (B, or 83.5%) or higher may apply for admission to this program in accordance with seminary regulations.
2. Students enrolled in the M.A.C.S., M.A.F.M., or M.A.I.C.S. programs who have completed one year (at least 24 credits) and wish to transfer to the M.Div. program must submit an application and fee one semester before graduation. Admission is subject to a successful interview with the Admissions Committee.
3. Students transferring from, or having completed, one of this seminary’s M.A.C.S., M.A.F.M., or M.A.I.C.S. programs may transfer up to two-thirds of the credits required for the M.Div. degree (56 credits).
4. Students transferring from other institutions may transfer no more than one-half of the total credits required for the M.Div. degree (42 credits).
