DONATION ACCEPTANCE

Book Donation Guidelines

Thank you for supporting the LOGOS Evangelical Seminary Library. Book donations are an important source of materials for our collection. The Library welcomes donations of books and related materials that have theological and academic value and are in good condition.

1. Scope of Accepted Donations

  • The Library currently accepts small donations of books (approximately 100 volumes or fewer).
  • Accepted donations include books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, library furniture, and related equipment.

2. Donation Policies

  • All donations must be made unconditionally, without restrictions or designated purposes.
  • In accordance with its collection development policy, the Library will evaluate donated materials for their theological and academic research value before determining whether to add them to the collection.

3. Management of Donated Materials

  • The Library reserves the right to retain, preserve, transfer, exchange, withdraw, or otherwise appropriately dispose of donated materials.
  • Donors may not specify how or where donated materials are to be housed, nor may they request special shelving or display arrangements.
  • Cataloging, shelving, and other collection management procedures will be carried out according to the Library’s established workflows and schedules. Completion by a specific date cannot be guaranteed.

4. Additional Information

  • Once a donation has been formally accepted by the Library, the donated materials cannot be returned. The Library also cannot guarantee that the same materials will remain available for future retrieval.
  • The Library does not provide appraisals or valuations of donated materials.
  • As a general policy, the Library does not provide a comprehensive inventory of donated books.
