DONATION GUIDELINES

Guidelines for Library Donations

Thank you for supporting the LOGOS Evangelical Seminary Library. Book donations are an important source of growth for the Library’s collection. We welcome donations of books and related materials that have theological and academic value and are in good condition.

01

Scope of Acceptance

  • The Library currently accepts small donations of books, generally up to approximately 100 volumes.
  • Donations may include books, journals, audiovisual materials, as well as library furniture and related equipment.
02

Donation Principles

  • All donations must be unconditional and may not include restrictions or designated uses.
  • In accordance with the Library’s collection development policy, donated materials will be evaluated for their theological and academic research value before a decision is made regarding their inclusion in the collection.
03

Collection Management

  • The Library reserves the right to retain, preserve, transfer, exchange, withdraw, or otherwise appropriately dispose of donated materials.
  • Donors may not specify how materials are to be incorporated into the collection, where they are to be housed, or request special displays.
  • Cataloging, shelving, and other collection processing will be scheduled according to the Library’s workflow and timeline. Completion by a specific date cannot be guaranteed.
04

Additional Information

  • Once donated materials have been formally accepted by the Library, they cannot be returned, and the Library cannot guarantee that the same materials will remain available in the future.
  • The Library does not provide appraisal or valuation services for donated items.
  • As a general policy, the Library does not provide a complete itemized list of donated books.
