To help more believers gain a deeper understanding of the importance of theological education and be equipped to respond to God’s calling, we warmly invite churches throughout Southern California to participate in our Theological Education Sunday.

IIn today’s rapidly changing world, the Church’s need for faithful servants and a firm foundation in biblical truth is more urgent than ever. To help more believers understand the importance of theological education and be equipped to respond to God’s calling, we warmly invite churches throughout Southern California to participate in Theological Education Sunday.

What Is Theological Education Sunday?

Theological Education Sunday is a special Sunday ministry designed for local churches to share the vision and mission of theological education with their congregations. Through sermons, special presentations, and testimonies by LOGOS faculty, believers will discover how theological education shapes lives, equips them for ministry, and advances the work of the gospel.

By participating in Theological Education Sunday, churches will benefit from:

  • Spiritual Encouragement: Special messages and sermons offer spiritual challenge and encouragement, inspiring the congregation to develop a deeper hunger for God’s truth.
  • Educational Resources: Learn about theological programs, learning models, and opportunities that help believers become firmly rooted in biblical truth.
  • Partnership in Mission: Join in the Great Commission by helping raise up faithful workers for Christ and becoming a vital partner in the work of God’s Kingdom.
  • Pastors and church leaders are encouraged to designate one Sunday each year as Theological Education Sundayon the church calendar.
  • Beginning two weeks before Theological Education Sunday, churches are encouraged to include an announcement in their weekly bulletin: “Next Sunday (or Today) is LOGOS Evangelical Seminary’s Theological Education Sunday. Professor/Pastor ______ will be joining us to share God’s Word. Please prepare your hearts to pray for the needs and ministry of the Seminary and to support its work through your giving.”
  • When selecting a date for Theological Education Sunday, please avoid scheduling it on a Sunday that coincides with regular or special church events, such as Communion, baptism, congregational meetings, or commissioning services.

Additional Ministry Opportunities: Seminars, Workshops, and Theological Courses

  • Faculty members at LOGOS Evangelical Seminary bring expertise in a wide range of theological and ministry disciplines. Churches may arrange a seminar or special workshop on the Friday evening or Saturday preceding Theological Education Sunday to further enrich the congregation’s theological understanding and spiritual formation.   • Churches interested in offering training programs such as Teacher Training or Discipleship Training are welcome to contact us to explore opportunities for partnership.
