Important Reminders
Please notify the LOGOS International Student Office as soon as you receive your F-1 visa decision.
- New F-1 students may enter the United States no earlier than 30 days before the program start date on their I-20.
- After arrival, schedule your international student check-in with the International Student Office and complete all student health insurance requirements before the semester begins. Failure to do so may affect enrollment and F-1 status.

Housing
Students may apply for LOGOS student housing or arrange their own accommodations. Housing is limited and not guaranteed. If arranging your own housing, consider transportation, safety, cost, and living conditions in advance.
Driver’s License
If you plan to drive in California, review California DMV requirements for driver’s licenses, identification documents, proof of residency, vehicle registration, and auto insurance. Requirements may vary by individual circumstances. Please refer to the latest information from the DMV.
Taxes
International students may have U.S. tax or information-reporting obligations. Even without income, some students may need to file Form 8843. Students with income may need to file federal and, depending on their circumstances, California state tax returns. Please refer to the IRS, California Franchise Tax Board (FTB), or a qualified tax professional for current requirements.
Children’s Education
If you are accompanied by children, contact the local school district based on your residential address to confirm enrollment eligibility, grade placement, required documents, and registration procedures. Requirements vary by school district. Please refer to your local school district or the California Department of Education for current information.
