Overview

Guided by the vision “Attempt Great Things for God, Rescue Millions of Souls,” and committed to balanced growth in spiritual life, academics, ministry, and personal life, LOGOS Evangelical Seminary has equipped more than 800 graduates who now serve in pastoral ministry, cross-cultural missions, theological education, and gospel organizations in over 30 countries worldwide.

Who We Are

LOGOS Evangelical Seminary is a theological education institution rooted in the gospel, serving Chinese communities worldwide and engaging diverse cross-cultural contexts.
Founded in 1989, LOGOS Evangelical Seminary emerged in response to the needs of the times and the calling of the gospel. Before the Seminary was established, Rev. Fu-Li Liu recognized the struggles of a younger generation facing confusion and a lack of hope. He received a vision to establish churches and embraced the conviction, “Attempt Great Things for God, Rescue Millions of Souls,” dedicating himself to the mission of church planting.
As the church expanded and the need for ministry leaders grew, the importance of theological education became increasingly evident. LOGOS was established to equip pastors and church leaders and to respond to the growing need for gospel workers in this generation.
Today, this God-given vision and burden continue to shape LOGOS’s direction and mission, serving as the driving force behind its ongoing ministry.
For more than three decades, LOGOS has expanded across cultures and regions—from its early ministry among Minnan-speaking communities to serving Chinese-speaking and diverse ethnic communities, while building connections with churches and organizations across Asia, Europe, North America, and beyond. Throughout its development, the Seminary has remained focused on one central mission: equipping faithful, mature, and mission-minded servants for the Kingdom of God.

LOGOS Evangelical Seminary is committed to “Equipping Kingdom-Minded Servants to Transform the Global Church.” Every word of this mission statement reflects our commitment and calling:

Campuses and Learning Environment

LOGOS operates two major campuses in North America, located in Los Angeles and Chicago, offering comprehensive resources for learning and theological study.

Government Authorization and Accreditation

LOGOS Evangelical Seminary is the only seminary in North America with triple accreditation from:

  • Association of Theological Schools (ATS)
  • WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC)
  • Asia Theological Association (ATA)

LOGOS is also approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education and authorized by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to issue I-20s for international students.

正道網路校園

正道網路校園是第一個獲得ATS認證以中文教學的網路校園，為各地說中文的基督徒提供高品質的神學培訓。學生可在職場、服事地點或住家完成基督教研究碩士科大部分的課程。此外還提供為帶職服事同工所預備的證書課程。

Statement of Faith

  1. The Old and New Testaments are the inspired and infallible Word of God, declaring His complete plan of salvation and serving as the highest authority for Christian faith and life.
  2. The eternal God exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  3. The triune God created, sustains, and governs the entire universe. He existed before all creation and is distinct from His creation.
  4. Adam, the first human, was created in the image of God. Through his disobedience, humanity lost its original innocence and came under condemnation and death, making redemption necessary. Humanity is utterly incapable of saving itself.
  5. In His love and mercy, God provided salvation for fallen humanity and established a covenant of grace with His people. He promised and accomplished salvation through Jesus Christ, granting justification and eternal life to all who trust in Him.
  6. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, sent by the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless and obedient life, suffered and was crucified for those who believe in Him, was raised from the dead by God, and was exalted as Lord and Christ. God then gave the promised Holy Spirit to the Church.
  7. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Redeemed sinners become God’s people and receive eternal life. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and humanity; no one comes to the Father except through Him.
  8. Believers are new creations in Christ and are called to walk by the Spirit, die to sin, live in righteousness, imitate Christ, and bear the fruit of the Spirit. Good works are the believer’s calling, not the basis of justification.
  9. God alone is Lord of our conscience. In matters of faith and conduct, believers are free from all humanly imposed commandments that contradict or go beyond Scripture.
  10. All true believers belong to Christ, are temples of the Holy Spirit, and constitute the body of Christ and the invisible Church. In Christ, the Church is holy, universal, and one. The invisible Church is expressed through the visible Church. A local church consists of those who sincerely believe and confess Christ and have received baptism as God’s people and a royal priesthood. The Church is called to grow toward the fullness of Christ through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, fulfilling its mission through worship, the sacraments, fellowship, discipline, service, and witness.
  11. All believers are priests, and ordained ministers and lay believers are called to serve together.
  12. At the end of the age, Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead. The dead will be bodily resurrected. Believers will receive eternal life through the Holy Spirit, while those who reject Christ will be condemned. The new heaven and new earth will then be established.
