Ph.D. in Theological Studies
Academic Research & Theological Education

Advanced Pastoral Ministry
Advanced training designed for ministers engaged in full-time service, deepening spiritual maturity, theological foundations, and professional ministry practice through integration of ministry experience and practical reflection.

An M.Div. and at least three years of full-time ministry experience (other relevant degrees reviewed individually)

Dual Degree Programs
For those called to full-time family ministry or intercultural ministry, the seminary encourages students to pursue an M.Div. alongside a related specialized master’s degree. An integrated study plan combines pastoral formation with specialized ministry competencies.

Designed for those called to full-time pastoral ministry, family ministry, and care ministries, combining the comprehensive ministerial formation of the M.Div. with specialized training in family ministry.

Master of Divinity + Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies
M.Div. + M.A.I.C.S.
Designed for those pursuing intercultural missions, intercultural ministry, or research, combining M.Div. pastoral and theological formation with specialized missional and intercultural preparation.
LEARNING OPTIONS
On-Campus & Distance Learning
Most degree programs offer flexible study options. Subject to degree requirements and course availability, students may take courses on campus, online synchronously or asynchronously, or in a hybrid format.
Except for the Ph.D. in Theological Studies, the seminary’s master’s and doctoral degrees may be completed through approved online courses.
Online students fulfill the same degree requirements and receive the same officially awarded degree.

Students holding F-1 visas must attend in-person courses as required by applicable regulations and seminary policies. Enrollment arrangements must comply with international student status requirements.
Distance Learning
Fully online study options are available without the need to attend classes on campus.
Except for the Ph.D. in Theological Studies, all master’s and doctoral degrees may be completed through online courses and confer the same degree credential.

Accreditation & Authorization
The seminary is accredited by the ATS Commission on Accrediting, the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), and the Asia Theological Association (ATA), and holds applicable state authorizations and authorization to enroll international students.

TEACH-OUT PLAN POLICY
If any degree program, includingon-campus and online courses, is discontinued because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances, the seminary will continue to provide the required courses students need to complete that degree. Students considering transfer to a corresponding program at another seminary will also receive academic advising support.
